WHO WE ARE
Markham Stouffville Urgent Care Centre is a modern ambulatory care facility designed to manage urgent medical conditions in addition to traditional walk-in clinic concerns. The Urgent Care Centre offers one-stop health services and immediate care to individuals of all ages who have non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. It is important to distinguish urgent medical conditions from emergent ones. Patients with life threatening conditions such as heart attack, stroke, severe trauma or those experiencing severe chest pain, severe abdominal pain or extremely labored breathing should go to the emergency department or call 911.
However, thousands of patients are seen in Hospital Emergency Departments each year with ailments that can be effectively treated in an urgent care setting. Urgent care centers offer patients an alternative to potentially long waits in the Emergency Department. Located in the Boxgrove Medical Arts Centre at 110 Copper Creek Drive (the south east corner of the 407 and 9th Line), Markham Stouffville Urgent Care Centre offers quality medical care you can count on 7 days a week. Our services include the assessment of acute injuries that may be work or accident related, the diagnosis and casting of fractures, repair of minor lacerations including suturing if necessary, wound dressing changes, ECG testing as well as the management of eye infections and injuries including the removal of foreign bodies from the eye.
Patient care is supported by our on-site Diagnostic Imaging (x-rays, ultrasound) and Laboratory services (e.g. blood tests, rapid strep tests, pregnancy tests). Markham Stouffville Urgent Care Centre is staffed largely by Emergency trained or experienced physicians. Patients can look forward to receiving expedient, convenient and comprehensive care. The low wait times, professional and courteous staff and commitment to quality medical care are fundamental to the Centre’s mission. For medical attention when it matters, we’re here for you.
